Job summary

Delta College is seeking a Student Engagement and Leadership Coordinator to work on-site at University Center, MI. This role leads student clubs, mentoring, and engagement initiatives while coordinating mascot activities and campus events.

You will supervise student employees, support onboarding and leadership programs, and collaborate with BEDI and other departments to foster belonging and student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Recreation, Sports Management, Education, Leadership, or related field.
• Minimum of three years of experience in student activities, campus life, student engagement, recreation/intramurals, or student affairs in a college or university setting.
• Experience working with student clubs and organizations, student leadership programs, or campus engagement initiatives.
• Experience supervising student employees or student leaders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary College contact for student clubs and organizations, student leaders and advisors.
• Lead the Club Advisory Board (CAB) and support for student leaders and organizations.
• Guide club development, recruitment, budgeting, event planning, fundraising, policies, and operations.
• Maintain Club Advisor Handbook, procedures, and related policies.
• Coordinate club registration, compliance, risk management, and organizational processes.
• Develop strategies to strengthen student participation in clubs and organizations.
• Track participation, engagement, and program outcomes.
• Collaborate with BEDI and Community Engagement to strengthen belonging and engagement.
• Support onboarding, welcome programs, and student outreach to connect new students to the College.
• Assist BEDI programs, heritage months, belonging initiatives, and student listening sessions.
• Coordinate student ambassadors, volunteers, and participation in campus events.
• Support leadership development programs, including the Student Leadership Academy.
