The Chinese American Planning Council (CPC) in New York City is seeking a Campus Director for the Education and Career Services program to oversee Waters Edge Educational Campus initiatives for youth ages 14-24. Responsibilities

• Hire, lead and support a diverse team of program staff; plan and facilitate workshops and worksite orientations.
• Provide counseling, case management and internship placement support aligned with career goals.
• Ensure enrollment targets, deliverables and DYCD audit requirements are met.
• Oversee family engagement, wellness education, and referrals to strengthen family well-being.
• Develop project-based learning experiences for younger youth; create work-based learning for older youth.
• Cultivate partnerships with public, private and non-profit organizations; support outreach and placement strategies.
• Administer program budget and monitor expenditures; ensure reporting to government agencies.

ECS believes it is never too early or too late to start learning, which is why we use an asset-based approach to maximize clients’ current strengths. Whether in our schools, community centers, or internship sites, ECS creates equitable learning environments that promote leadership development, self-advocacy, and community building. Our programs equip clients with essential skills and experiences today so that they are empowered to take the next step tomorrow.After-School Program (NDA Water’s Edge): CPC’s after-school programming at Waters Edge Educational Campus includes academic enrichment, cultural and recreational services that provide youth participants with rich and meaningful experiences, while equipping them with the resources, support and guidance needed for continued success throughout high school and beyond.NDA Healthy Families: The Healthy Families program aims to support and strengthen families using a holistic, strength-based approach based on the principles of family development. The target population is youth, adults, and families. If a youth enrolls as an individual, the minimum age is 14. Required activities are Access Services and Family Development Coaching. Programs may also choose to provide Education/Career Counseling, Emergency Services, Employment Assistance, Family Budgeting and Consumer Education, Individual Family Housing Advocacy, Individual/Family Housing Assistance, Legal Assistance, Parent Skills Training, and Review of Child Support Status.Career Ready (SYEP) Funded through the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD), SYEP Program provides students between the ages of 14 to 21 with project-based learning opportunities and paid, summer work experience for up to six weeks in July and August. Youth aged 14-15 are engaged in projects that provide enriching career exploration, emphasize foundational work readiness skills, and help build social emotional learning skills. Youth aged 16-21 are placed in entry-level positions across a variety of sectors and industries.
