Job summary

The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is hiring for temporary/on-call Retail Associates in Campus Dining. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced, multi-unit dining environment.

Responsibilities include guest service, food prep assistance, stock rotation, and POS operation, all while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards. Emphasis on flexibility for 2nd/3rd shifts on campus.

Qualifications

• Available to work late night shifts (6PM-2AM).
• Must be available to work Sundays.
• Capable of managing time effectively with minimal supervision.
• Positive, respectful, excellent communication and listening skills.
• Previous food service experience is preferred.
• Ability to maintain a standing position for extended periods (up to 6 hours).
• Follow food safety procedures for handling, storing, and serving food.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests and exceed expectations while working at a fast-paced dining establishment
• Assist with preparation of food as needed
• Stock and rotation of food inventories
• Operate order and point of sale equipment
• Accurately follow the brand standards
• Wash dishes, and maintain a clean unit
• Perform all tasks relating to retail, safety and sanitation of food service facilities
