Chartwells Higher Education seeks a Director of Operations for its food service team at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX.

You will guide residential, retail dining, and catering, directing planning and performance to meet financial and service goals in a dynamic environment. You will maintain client relationships and implement strategies that provide excellent service to students and customers while managing a high-volume operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of management experience in food service.
• Higher Education experience in board and retail operations is required.
• Proven track record of leading a business and a team with strong customer service and financial acumen.
• Demonstrates initiative, critical thinking, ownership, communications, multitasking, prioritization and organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and inspire a diverse team at a large account to deliver top-notch service to students and the community.
• Drive the account toward profitability, safety, and employee engagement with clear metrics.
• Share best practices, mitigate risks, champion diversity, and build community.
• Ensure accurate reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes and partner input.
