Job summary

Grinnell College is seeking a full-time Cashier for its dining services to deliver excellent customer service, greet guests, and manage check-in/out processes efficiently. The role requires monitoring the dining space and assisting guests as they exit the Marketplace.

The position is capped at 975 hours annually and will involve firsthand interaction with a diverse community of students, faculty, and staff in a vibrant dining environment.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering courteous customer service in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to greet guests warmly and handle transactions accurately.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• The Cashier provides exceptional customer service, coordinating the greeting, and accurately checking customers in and out.
• Present a positive initial image and greet all guests of dining services.
• Monitor the dining hall during service hours.
• Assists guests exiting the Marketplace.
• Role will not exceed 975 hours annually.
