Job summary

Gustavus Adolphus College is seeking a part-time/temporary cafeteria worker to oversee and operate an assigned station in the campus dining service. This role emphasizes friendly, efficient service and maintaining a clean, welcoming dining environment for the campus community.

The position schedule is Monday–Friday, 11:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m., with a defined start and end date for a temporary appointment. Opportunity for continued employment may be considered based on department needs and performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in the food industry, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items including hamburgers, grilled chicken, fries, onion rings.
• Prepare menu items using flat top grill, gas fire grill, fryers.
• Prepare speciality menu items, as requested.
• Work with and mentor college student employees.
• Cheerfully greet and serve Dining Service guests.
• Option to work in the concession stand, as available.
• All other duties as assigned.
