Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education is seeking a self-motivated Finance Controller (hospitality) on the Baylor University campus in Waco, TX. You will advise on day-to-day operations and financial performance across multiple dining locations, ensuring accurate management and reporting of finances while partnering with the leadership team to drive results.

The ideal candidate will be an expert in bookkeeping, finance and accounting, with a proven track record in internal controls and F&B P&L.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
• 2+ years experience with revenue control, financial reporting, trend analysis, and cash handling.
• Accounting experience in foodservice or retail industry preferred.
• Strong Excel and internal controls expertise.

Responsibilities

• Cash handling procedures and daily reconciliation tasks.
• Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts and track monthly P/L.
• Prepare financial reports for internal and external use.
• Develop forecasts and budgets, identify risks and opportunities.
• Review general ledger and balance sheet and resolve issues.
