Bon Appétit Management Company is hiring an Executive Chef-Residential Dining for Emory University to lead culinary vision and daily operations in a dynamic campus dining program. You will manage a culinary team, ensure top food quality, safety, and guest satisfaction while driving innovation across resident dining.

The role focuses on developing seasonal menus, mentoring staff, and delivering exceptional dining experiences for students, faculty, staff, and guests in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
• Five+ years of progressive culinary leadership in a high-volume setting.
• Experience overseeing large-scale production in education, healthcare, hospitality, or corporate dining.
• Strong background in catering, events, and multiple concepts.
• Proven ability to manage food and labor costs, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.
• Thorough knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for all culinary operations with focus on quality and presentation.
• Develop seasonal menus and innovative recipes reflecting current culinary trends.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing culinary team.
• Oversee high-volume food production and catering operations with emphasis on guest satisfaction.
• Manage food, labor, and costs through purchasing, inventory, forecasting, and waste reduction.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, and sanitation standards.
• Partner with dining leadership, marketing, and nutrition teams on new concepts and events.
• Maintain relationships with vendors to ensure quality and cost effectiveness.
• Foster a positive, inclusive kitchen culture focused on continuous improvement.
