Bon Appetit Management Company seeks a Sustainability Manager for Emory University to drive campus dining sustainability initiatives, focusing on waste reduction, local sourcing, and data-driven improvements across operations. You will work closely with chefs, campus partners, students, and local producers to advance Emory's sustainability philosophy.

You will lead data collection, reporting, and action planning, while coordinating education campaigns and stakeholder engagement to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Sustainability or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience developing and implementing sustainability programs in foodservice or education settings.
• Strong knowledge of waste reduction, sustainable sourcing, and environmental stewardship.
• Experience collecting and presenting sustainability data and translating metrics into actions.
• Demonstrated project management with multiple initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and advance sustainability initiatives across campus dining operations.
• Collect, analyze, and report waste diversion, food recovery, and local purchasing data.
• Review local and sustainable purchasing data for accuracy and improvement.
• Collaborate with Executive Chefs, Chef Managers, and operational leaders on action plans.
• Build relationships with local farmers, vendors, and Bon Appétit's Regional Forager.
• Represent Bon Appétit on Emory University's Sustainable Food Committee.
• Coordinate student engagement and sustainability education campaigns.
• Recruit and supervise student interns supporting audits and reporting.
• Support STARS reporting and other institutional environmental goals.
