Job summary

Creative Dining Services is seeking a Cook at Muskegon Community College in Muskegon, MI. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of cooking experience, with a High School diploma or equivalent preferred and ServSafe certification.

Responsibilities

• Time food production so items are ready at service.
• Prepare items according to recipes ensuring freshness and appeal.
• Utilize batch cooking to control production.
• Use safe food handling techniques at all times.
• Store food with proper labeling and dating.
• Hold items at correct temperatures and maintain logs.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized work area and follow rules.
• Open/close kitchen as needed and secure equipment.
• Monitor equipment function and report discrepancies.
• Support other kitchen staff and communicate needs promptly.
• Assist with ordering and inventory procedures.
