Rutgers University is seeking a Cook C for Dining Services on the New Brunswick campus. This on-site role involves assisting in overall cooking operations and guiding junior staff to prepare a variety of food items per standardized procedures.

The position is full-time, with standard 40-hour weeks, and at 40 hours weekly. The candidate should have a high school or vocational education plus at least one year of large-volume cooking experience, and must be able to pass the Food Handler’s

Qualifications

• High school/vocational education or equivalent plus one year varied cooking experience in large volume institutional or restaurant setting.
• Ability to pass the Food Handler’s Certification.
• Ability to read and follow standardized recipes and production work sheets.
• Excellent customer services skills
• Line cooking experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the overall cooking operations of a unit.
• Assists in guiding and instructing cooks helpers, grill attendant, and Dining Service Worker B in the performance of a variety of food items following standardized procedures and schedules.
