Job summary

The University of Akron is seeking a delivery-focused employee in Akron, OH to transport mail and packages, deliver to campus locations, and handle special deliveries. You will operate forklifts and delivery vehicles, load/unload items, and ensure safe, efficient handling following campus procedures.

Requires a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license, with at least six months in delivery roles.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license required; ability to obtain further credentials as needed.
• Minimum six months experience in delivery services; strong communication.
• Experience delivering heavy materials; capable of operating forklift and delivery vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation for mail and packages to campus locations and obtains signatures as needed.
• Performs other daily services including OfficeMax, ChemStores, Book Deliveries and UPS/FedEx deliveries.
• Loads and unloads items; maintains an orderly work environment and delivers to designated areas.
• Assists in transporting money deposits and cash transactions when necessary.
