Job summary

Aramark in Columbia, SC (University of South Carolina) is seeking a Student Worker - Functional to clean and maintain assigned area(s) to meet customer and client satisfaction. Requisition: 670384; Location: COLUMBIA, SC 29208.

You will adhere to OSHA, state, local, and Aramark regulations; keep areas safe and orderly; operate housekeeping equipment; follow storage and disposal procedures for trash; and report maintenance concerns through work orders.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling >50 lbs.
• Must follow safety procedures around hazardous chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to procedures to provide a safe working environment per OSHA and company regulations.
• Keeps areas clean and orderly to protect safety and health.
• Cleans and maintains housekeeping equipment.
• Cleans areas to Aramark and client standards.
• Follows procedures for trash storage and disposal.
• Reports maintenance concerns via work orders.
• Secures the facility, locking/unlocking as required.
• Ensures security of company assets.
