Job summary

Newman University is seeking a part-time Custodian to perform general cleaning duties across university buildings, maintaining cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition. The schedule is flexible based on departmental needs and campus events.

You will empty trash, stock supplies, clean surfaces, restrooms, floors and windows, and assist with setup for special events. Required: High School Diploma, US work authorization, and 1–3 years of floor care experience and chemical handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• 1–3 years of experience with floor cleaning equipment and chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash from offices and common areas daily.
• Maintain housekeeping cart, closet, and equipment for daily use.
• Clean surfaces including tables, desks, windows and fixtures.
• Disinfect restrooms daily and stock supplies.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in entrances, hallways, offices, and classrooms daily.
• Assist with moving tables, chairs, and setup for events.
