Responsibilities

• Assign work to campus custodians and oversee completion according to district standards.
• Implement cleaning schedules; maintain floors, restrooms, and facilities.
• Keep school buildings and grounds neat and clean; manage trash disposal per local laws.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and order as needed.
• Make minor repairs and report major repairs to supervisor.
• Regulate HVAC for appropriate temperatures and energy usage.
• Assist in setting up facilities for events and move furniture as directed.
• Open/close building daily; ensure doors and panic bolts function.
• Inspect equipment for safety and efficiency; follow safety procedures.
• Report unsafe conditions and follow emergency procedures.
• Monitor custodial work and provide assignments to staff.
