Job summary

The University of North Dakota is seeking a Custodian/Facilities worker to perform cleaning, upkeep and light maintenance across campus facilities. This full-time, on-site role requires moving furniture, collecting waste, and preparing work orders.

Work schedule is 40 hours weekly, Wednesday through Sunday, 5:00am to 1:30pm, with overtime and weekend callbacks as needed. Applicants must have HS diploma or equivalent and valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• HS/ GED OR equivalent experience.
• Ability to communicate with students, faculty, staff, and co-workers.
• Experience with cleaning equipment a plus.

Responsibilities

• Mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, shampooing, and renewing floor finishes.
• Washing windows, blinds, mirrors, walls, doors, and woodwork.
• Cleaning and dusting furniture, exhibit cases, fixtures, appliances, and related furnishings.
• Cleaning and disinfecting rest rooms in public and/or residential areas.
• Maintaining a continuous supply of paper in all dispensers.
• Collecting and picking up waste and recyclable materials, inside and outside buildings.
• Moving and setting up furniture and equipment for events or departments.
• Submitting timely work orders and supply requests.
• Locking/unlocking doors to main buildings as required.
