Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow oral instructions.
• Stand for extended lengths of time (five hours or more).
• Lift up to 25 lbs many times per day.
• Learn, retain and utilize training procedures.
• Experience operating standard housekeeping equipment.
• Experience with chemicals such as germicides, disinfectants and caustic solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide housekeeping services for university buildings through routine cleaning, floor maintenance and carpet maintenance.
• Apply techniques and procedures approved by the Custodial Maintenance Industry to keep facilities in good condition.
• Essential personnel who report to work as directed during emergency closures.
