Job summary

Auburn University’s Student Affairs - Property Management is seeking a TES Building Specialist to help maintain clean, well-organized spaces across campus. The role supports event setup and provides cleaning services at residential facilities, contributing to a visible daily impact.

This is a pooled posting; successful candidates will be contacted as staffing needs arise. Prior custodial experience and a valid driver license are preferred to meet the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write.
• Level II requires 2 years of custodial floor care experience.
• Driver License, valid and in state.
• Follow detailed instructions and procedures.
• Work under limited supervision and prioritize tasks independently.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily custodial activities within residential buildings, including trash and recycling disposal, cleaning of public restrooms and kitchens, and other public-facing locations.
• Maintain custodial storage locations including management of supplies, organization of equipment, and proper chemical storage techniques.
• Routine inspection of managed facilities to report and document deficiencies in building systems, cosmetic items, and safety concerns.
• Perform floor care of all residential facilities using equipment such as auto scrubbers, carpet sweepers, and i-Mop.
• Clean dormitory suites following spring move-out: trash removal, deep cleaning of restroom surfaces and fixtures, dusting, and floor care.
• Aid with facilities setup and breakdown required for events, meetings, etc.
