Job summary

Ohlone College is seeking a Custodian to support Fremont Campus and Newark Center. You will perform cleaning and light maintenance across classrooms, offices, and common areas, ensuring safe, clean environments for students and staff.

Ideal candidates have 6 months to 1 year of custodial experience, knowledge of safety guidelines, and the ability to work independently, including after-hours or weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of custodial experience.
• Experience in educational/institutional settings preferred.
• Knowledge of SDS and chemical safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Clean District spaces (classrooms, offices, laboratories, restrooms).
• Vacuum, mop, scrub, and maintain floors and surfaces.
• Empty waste receptacles and manage recycling.
• Restock supplies and maintain cleaning equipment.
• Report maintenance needs and safety hazards to supervisor.
• Ensure building security after operating hours.
