Job summary

Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) - Georgia Academy for the Blind (GAB) seeks a qualified Housekeeper in Macon, GA. Under supervision, maintain a clean, safe environment for students, staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Requires one year lead worker experience or experience at Housekeeper 2 or equivalent.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, dormitories, common areas, and other facilities.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain floors and surfaces.
• Empty trash and recycling; dispose of waste properly.
• Restock supplies and maintain custodial inventory.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisor.
