Job summary

Meredith College in Raleigh, NC seeks a Housekeeper I to perform routine custodial services, maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming campus environment across residence halls, classrooms, offices, restrooms, and public spaces. Under the supervision of the Housekeeping Shift Supervisor, you will operate custodial equipment, follow established procedures, and contribute to a positive experience for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

The 2nd shift runs 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial, janitorial, hospitality or related fields preferred.
• Ability to operate standard custodial equipment safely.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned residence halls, classrooms, offices, restrooms, and public areas per standards.
• Perform routine floor care: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, spot cleaning.
• Operate custodial equipment safely and effectively.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, ledges, vents, walls, and glass surfaces.
• Restock restroom supplies and report maintenance issues.
