Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of plant operations, cleaning methods and procedures, minor repairs, security, heating and ventilation, and grounds maintenance.
• Ability to read and follow cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment.
• Ability to handle cleaning supplies safely.

Responsibilities

• Train custodial staff in proper use of materials and equipment.
• Establish procedures for locking and safeguarding facilities.
• Oversee school rentals and events when needed.
• Propose shift schedules and arrange extra help as required.
• Inform administrator of unsafe plant conditions.
• Complete minor repairs and adjust plant equipment as needed.
• Submit work orders and follow up on maintenance.
