Job summary

Responsibilities include scheduling, training, policy development, vendor coordination, and emergency responsiveness. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, with a commitment to high sanitation standards and customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Directs custodial services to meet sanitation and cleanliness standards across facilities.
• Leads and evaluates custodial staff; sets performance expectations and guides goal achievement.
• Plans long-range custodial services including staffing, priorities, and cleaning techniques.
• Oversees budgeting, cost projections, and purchasing controls for custodial ops.
• Develops policies, safety standards, and sustainability initiatives for custodial services.
• Coordinates with campus departments and vendors for services and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and adjust custodial work shifts to maximize efficiency.
• Monitor operations and implement improvements in cleaning methods and performance.
• Conduct needs assessments and implement efficiency solutions.
• Develop and train staff on safety, cleaning standards, and customer service.
• Oversee new employee orientation and SDS compliance; manage HR matters per policy.
• Occasionally perform hands-on work during short staffing or emergencies.
• Establish high-quality standards and conduct facility inspections.
