Chartwells Higher Education, part of Compass Group USA, is seeking a Sous Chef at Binghamton University in Binghamton, NY. You will support the culinary department, supervise hourly staff, assist in menu development, and help with ordering under the direction of the Executive Chef.

This role offers involvement in menu creation, high-volume service, and potential for growth within a diverse campus dining program. Strong culinary background and leadership skills are required.

Qualifications

• A.S. or equivalent experience in culinary field.
• Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food cost controls and sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist Executive Chef with cost controls and expenditures.
• Assist in planning and creating menus for the facility.
• Produce and execute catering events.
• Roll out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary team.
