Job summary

Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania in Bloomsburg seeks candidates for its Counseling Center (Department of Student Success) Temporary Pool. The Counselor provides short-term, outpatient mental health services to enrolled students, with in-person and telehealth options, and participates in outreach and training.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Counselor Education, or a related field, plus 2–5 years of university counseling

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Counselor Education, or a related field (minimum).
• Minimum of 2–5 years of experience, preferably at a university counseling, wellness, or health center.
• Licensed or license eligible as in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania (licensure must be achieved within a year of employment).
• Demonstrated experience working with college-age populations (undergraduate through graduate/professional level).

Responsibilities

• Providing culturally sensitive, short-term individual clinical services to students with diverse identities and a broad spectrum of concerns.
• Providing both in-person and telehealth counseling services.
• Providing daytime crisis intervention, emergency, and on-call services.
• Coordinating care between Counseling Services and other campus departments and community resources.
• Training and supervision of Master’s level interns.
• Serving as a solid team member promoting the Center’s mission.
• Maintaining confidentiality and ethical practice.
