Job summary

Compass Group USA at CSU-Fullerton is hiring for a Cook Supervisor to directly supervise food-service staff on campus. The role operates on a full-time or part-time basis with AM/PM shifts and open availability is preferred. The fixed pay rate is $26.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous cook, cook lead, cook supervisor experience required.
• Kitchen safety and high-volume production experience is required.
• Open availability; 7-day operation including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Trains employees; plans, assigns and directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines associates.
• Advises management of purchasing requirements with focus on minimizing waste and avoiding shortages.
• Operates and cleans equipment; ensures proper temperatures and portion control.
• Stores, labels and dates food items; maintains food rotations to minimize spoilage.
• Follows HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Helps serve meals and gathers customer feedback.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
