Job summary

GrayMatter in Missouri is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to manage specialized work with a focus on control systems, PLC programming, and field deployments. You will design, implement, and test solutions, while training users and supporting project development.

The role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and in teams in a customer-facing environment. Occasional travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EE, EET, ME, MET or comparable; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience with industrial PLC programming (Rockwell, Siemens, Modicon, etc.).
• Required experience with Rockwell PLCs.
• Control systems implementation, design, installations, and troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of electrical schematics and electrical installations.
• Acute attention to detail and process.
• Strong ability to solve problems and research solutions.
• Excellent customer service attitude.
• Ability to work both independently and in team environments.

Control Systems Engineer in St. Louis

This position will focus on managing specialized work efficiently, with confidence and competence. The position requires above average attention to details, concern for the exact correctness of work, and strong commitment to tasks completed on time. The person in this position will take work seriously, have a strong sense of duty, and is disciplined. The position will generally be task oriented, requiring someone with a conservative, careful, and cautious approach to work.

General Job Duties:

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Needed:

• Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field (EE, EET, ME, MET or comparable). An equivalent combination of experience and training will also be considered.
• Experience with industrial PLC programming (Rockwell, Siemens, Modicon, etc.)
• Required experience with Rockwell PLCs
• Control Systems implementation, design, installations, and troubleshooting
• Basic understanding of electrical schematics and electrical installations
• Acute attention to detail and process
• Strong ability to solve problems and research solutions
