Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is seeking a Per Diem Paramedic to join the Code Blue Operations in public spaces across the campus. You will respond to emergencies and provide advanced pre-hospital care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Under protocols approved by the Code Blue Medical Director, you will perform rapid assessment, airway management, cardiac monitoring, and safe transport, while collaborating with inpatient teams when needed.

Qualifications

• Requires at least two years of experience as a Paramedic.
• Successful completion of a Texas DSHS-approved EMT-Paramedic training program (or a Bachelor's Degree).
• Current Texas Licensed Paramedic, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Experience in high-volume EMS or critical care environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Respond to medical emergencies and Code Blue activations in designated public areas of the MD Anderson campus.
• Provide rapid assessment, stabilization, and advanced life support per protocol.
• Assist with safe patient transport to ambulances or facilities.
• Maintain patient safety and high standards of care during emergencies.
