Job summary

The University of Portland Moreau Center is seeking a Student Worker to support outreach, events and administrative tasks, including poster creation, social media updates, and helping with vehicle readiness.

Ideal candidates are enrolled undergrad or grad students with strong communication, organization, and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with Facebook and Instagram is helpful. Canva, Engage and Outlook are nice-to-have skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at University of Portland.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; able to use Outlook.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Familiarity with Facebook and Instagram.

Responsibilities

• Supports the smooth operation of a fast-paced office and maintains a professional appearance.
• Answers phones and greets visitors.
• Organizes spaces, removec clutter, and ensures supplies are stocked.
• Responds to simple support requests and directs inquiries to staff as needed.
• Assists with outreach and advertising by creating posters, flyers, social media content, Engage posts, Give Pulse, and other channels.
• Supports event setup and grocery shopping for pre-event needs.
• Assists with vehicle readiness: refueling and car washing as needed.
• Performs clerical duties to support the Community Service Work Study program.
