Job summary

The College of Innovation and Technology (CIT) at the University of Michigan-Flint is seeking a proactive, self-motivated student assistant to join our team! In this role, you will work closely with the CIT Career Advisor to support departmental communications, help coordinate exciting campus events, and assist with student tracking.

This on-site student/Work Study position offers hands-on experience in program coordination, newsletters, social media campaigns, and data tracking while balancing

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours at UM-Flint.
• Must have completed at least 2 semesters at UM-Flint.
• Maintains a UM-Flint cumulative and semester GPA of 2.0 or higher.
• Must be a College of Innovation and Technology student.
• FERPA and Privacy Waiver acknowledgment and consent for staff to view transcript/record.

Responsibilities

• Assist with student outreach in alignment with the CIT Marketing Plan.
• Drive engaging social media campaigns and maintain campus outreach mediums.
• Take photos and write articles to document events for newsletters and publications.
• Support planning and execution of CIT Career Fairs, workshops, and seminars.
• Track student submissions for the PCD program and log completed tasks.
• Attend scheduled training and perform other duties to support the department.
