Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a CNP Food Service Specialist to support the operation of the cafeteria for students. You will assist in food preparation, service, and safety, while delivering friendly customer service to staff, students, and families daily.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 30 lbs alone (50 lbs with a partner), and a manager food safety certification. On-site, full-time with performance bonuses and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a role requiring prolonged standing.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds alone and 50 pounds with a partner.
• Ability to obtain locally-recognized manager food safety certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in food preparation, food safety and quality assurance for students.
• Provide customer service and interact with staff, students and family daily.
• Operate food service equipment and maintain spaces; notify manager of equipment malfunctions.
• Assist in cafeteria cleaning duties: sweeping, mopping, wiping tables, washing dishes, disposing of trash.
• Load and unload weekly food and non-food products.
