Job summary

The University of New Mexico Bookstore is hiring multiple Retail Sales Assistants to help serve students, faculty, and community members on campus. The role includes customer service, data entry, clerical tasks, and POS responsibilities across departments.

Employees will learn Bookstore operations, work flexible schedules to fit classes, and gain real-life work skills with growth opportunities through the Student Lead program.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in person, over the phone, and via email
• Familiarize with UNM Bookstore operations, computer systems, and merchandise
• Perform data entry, clerical work, and POS functions as needed
• Maintain the sales floor by cleaning, stocking, and merchandising
• Abide by UNM and Bookstore policies and procedures; perform other duties as assigned
