Forty-Niner Shops, Inc. is seeking a Bookstore Retail Associate-I to assist customers across campus locations, including the Bookstore C-Store and Art Store. You will handle sales transactions, maintain cleanliness, and provide friendly service.

The role requires CSULB student status, ability to work at least 12 hours weekly, weekend shifts, and availability for Fall 2026 schedule. Training on POS and stock lookup is provided.

Formación

• The employee must be a current CSULB student enrolled in a minimum of 6 units.
• The employee must have the California Food Handler Card OR the ability to obtain the CA Food Handler Card within the first 30 days of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Provides excellent customer service at all times.
• Demonstrate knowledge of store products and services.
• Assist customers in all aspects of service fulfillment, including greeting customers, taking orders, collecting payment, and making change.
• Crosstrain and work in all Convenience Store locations as needed.
• Perform sales support functions related to POS.
• General housekeeping, stocking, organizing, pricing, and merchandising duties.
• Use computerized software to look up stock information and operate a cash register.
• Receive, verify, sort, and distribute goods and supplies.
• Make on-campus deliveries and represent Retail Services locations at campus events.
• Assist with clerical duties, research, and special projects.
• Answer telephone calls and emails, follow-up with appropriate personnel as needed.
• Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of locations.
• Adhere to campus and company sustainability initiatives.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations of the Health Department and OSHA.
