Job summary

Midwestern University stores team is seeking a store associate to deliver friendly, in-person service to students and faculty while assisting with inventory and merchandising. You will greet customers, help locate books and supplies, operate the cash register, and maintain a welcoming environment on campus.

The role requires 1–2 years in retail or customer service, strong communication skills, and basic MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years retail or customer service experience required.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in locating and purchasing books, supplies, and merchandise.
• Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately.
• Receive, unpack, and organize incoming merchandise.
• Maintain an orderly and visually appealing store layout.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking shelves.
• Provide excellent customer service and address inquiries and complaints.
• Support University Store events, general campus events, and promotions.
• Perform regular cleaning duties to ensure a tidy store environment.
• Follow all store policies and procedures to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
