Job summary

Barnes & Noble College is hiring a Campus Retail Associate to deliver superior customer service and support store leaders in all facets of retail operations on campus.

In this role you will greet customers, process transactions, help with shelving, cleaning and merchandising, and contribute to a welcoming, efficient store environment while flexibility to work varied shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be at least 16 years old.
• Ability to engage customers to deliver an elevated experience.
• Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments.
• Greet customers and focus on a positive experience throughout their visit.
• Support store operations including operating equipment and cash register with speed and accuracy.
• Keep the store looking fresh by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products or space.
• Temporary positions require availability to work on a weekly basis for up to 90 days with occasional weekends and flexible shifts.
• Routine housekeeping such as dusting, mopping, window cleaning, vacuuming, and trash removal.
