The University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety division is hiring for a full-time Barista at Cafe J, Ivan's Cafe, & Cafe on the Ave within our campus Hospitality department. You will greet guests, craft coffee and tea beverages according to brand standards, and maintain a clean work area.

Join a mission-driven team supporting student life and campus events. Pay rate is $17.50/hr plus tips, with opportunities to grow within the hospitality division.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of Barista experience.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Capable of managing time effectively with minimal supervision.
• Positive and respectful attitude.
• Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 6 hours).
• Follow food safety procedures for handling, storing, and serving food.

Responsibilities

• Greet and anticipate the needs of guests, providing excellent service.
• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and other beverages according to brand standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area, including dining and prep spaces.
• Stock and replenish supplies in service and prep areas.
• Assist with cleaning, table arrangement, and trash removal.
• Support coworkers to ensure a seamless operation.
