Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Barista at COLORADO MESA UNIVERSITY to deliver exceptional customer service while crafting hand-made beverages for students and staff.

You will take orders, prepare coffee, espresso, tea, and other beverages, explain menu options, manage cash transactions, and maintain a clean, inviting coffee area.

This position offers weekday morning shifts with both full-time and part-time options; safety, sanitation, and customer satisfaction come first.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Customer Service related work experience.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, standards, and inventory control systems.
• Starbucks Baristas may be required to be certified.

Responsibilities

• Greets all guests and provides quick, friendly, and personalized service.
• Mixes and serves hot and cold beverages such as coffee, espresso, cappuccino, café latte, tea, chai, fruit blend drinks, etc.
• Maintains good customer relations and speedy delivery of beverages and food items.
• Educates guests regarding menu offerings and initiates suggestive selling.
• Cleans coffee machines, restaurant areas, and preparation areas.
• Records all sales, handles cash, and operates a cash register.
• Attends work on time and fulfills scheduled shift commitments.
• Other duties may be assigned and differ among accounts.
