Job summary

Sodexo at University of Cincinnati is seeking a Part-time Barista to deliver exceptional customer service while crafting hand-made beverages. You will handle hot and cold drinks, maintain the coffee bar, and ensure cleanliness and efficiency during busy shifts.

The role requires friendly interaction, attention to detail, and the ability to stand for long periods. Prior customer service or food service experience is preferred, with certifications possibly required for Starbucks beverages.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Customer Service related work experience.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, standards, and inventory control systems.
• Starbucks Baristas may be required to be certified.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with quick, friendly, and personalized service.
• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages (coffee, espresso, tea, etc.) with standard or custom specifications.
• Educate guests on menu offerings and suggestive selling.
• Maintain coffee bar, supplies, and cleanliness; operate cash register and follow cash-handling procedures.
• Walk/stand for extended periods; assist with other duties as needed.
