Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking an Audio-Visual Systems SW Technician to provide tier 1 support, configure and maintain campus AV systems, and assist with testing and commissioning during events.

The role requires basic AV knowledge, comfort with lifting up to 45 lb (90 lb with assistance), a valid driver’s license, and willingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends, to support campus operations.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of Audio and Video signals.
  • Proficient in signal flow troubleshooting.
  • PC knowledge including communication methods between PC and devices.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, holidays and events.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds alone and up to 90 pounds assisted; willing to run cabling and set up equipment.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Test integrated systems and perform troubleshooting when required.
  • Assist the Audio-Visual Engineer and Supervisor with projects and commissioning of systems.
  • Conduct testing, firmware updates, and maintenance on Audio Visual systems and components.
  • Other duties as assigned.
