University of New Mexico is seeking a crisis response professional to provide confidential support, advocacy, and referrals to survivors of violence. The role involves assessing high‑risk situations, navigating university resources, and accompanying individuals to court, medical, and investigative procedures as needed.
The position emphasizes collaboration with campus partners, ensuring compliance with laws, and maintaining strict confidentiality of clients and records.
Provides professional and confidential crisis response, advocacy, accompaniment, and referral services to survivors of all forms of violence, including sexual assault, intimate partner violence, hate crimes, stalking, sexual harassment, and other crimes to facilitate and promote individual recovery and success. Empowers individuals by providing clear and timely information and access to resources so they may make informed decisions that reflect their unique needs. Responsible for complying with federal and state regulations, such as the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), Title IX, and the Clery Act.
Possession of a valid New Mexico driver’s license is required.
Minimum qualifications: a bachelor’s degree in a directly related field and at least three years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Degrees above the minimum education requirement may substitute for experience on a year‑for‑year basis.
