Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Texas Ambassadors team member to support campus tours, admission events, and visitor services at the Covert Admissions Welcome Center and Main 7. This on-campus role represents UT Austin to prospective students and families.

Requirements include current UT Austin undergraduate status, a 2.5 GPA, strong communication and customer service skills, and a willingness to participate in training and team meetings.

Qualifications

• Must be an enrolled undergraduate student at UT Austin.
• Maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
• Maintain good academic and judicial standing at the university.
• Desire to serve UT students and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Comfort speaking with groups and one-on-one conversations.
• Experience providing customer service.
• Able to be flexible and energetic in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to complete required training and attend team meetings.
• Bilingual students are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Showcase campus and student life during campus tours.
• Communicate with prospective students and families via phone, text, email, etc.
• Serve as panelists and hosts for events.
• Support event logistics and campus visit programs.
• Assist with welcoming visitors and completing office tasks.
• Drive university vehicle only if holding a valid Texas driver's license.
