Job summary

Lake Raystown Resort in Entriken, PA is seeking a Light Maintenance Worker to perform routine cleaning and upkeep across campground facilities during any shift. You will assist with trash pickup, restroom stocking, sweeping, mopping, safety compliance, and guest service, while following company policies and safety guidelines.

Must be able to work independently or in a team, and lift up to 50 pounds. Prioritize a clean, safe environment and attentive guest assistance at all times.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work in a team setting as well as independently.
  • Ability to learn and follow assigned routines.
  • Physical ability to stand/walk continuously and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work mandatory holiday weekends (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day).
  • Must have dependable transportation to and from work.

  • Report maintenance issues promptly to supervisor.
  • Follow all company policies and safety regulations and wear required PPE.
  • Create a safe, clean, and guest-friendly environment and assist guests as needed.

Job Overview

Position: Light Maintenance Worker at Lake Raystown Resort, Entriken, PA 16638. Shift: Any. Education Level: Not Specified.

Responsibilities
  • Perform light maintenance around the campground: trash/litter picking, restrooms stocking, raking, leaf removal, cleaning fire rings, spring branch cleanup
  • Sweep and mop all campground shower and bath houses
  • Empty trash cans regularly
  • Clean and sanitize all bathroom surfaces multiple times per day
  • Perform routine heavy cleaning
  • Adhere to all applicable health and safety regulations
  • Report maintenance issues promptly
  • Create a safe, clean, and friendly environment for guests
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
  • Maintain proper uniform and personal appearance
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation
  • Use clear and professional language in interactions with guests and colleagues
  • Support teamwork and work toward common goals
  • Maintain quality expectations and standards
  • Perform other reasonable duties as requested by supervisors
Qualifications
  • Must be 14 years of age or older
  • Must have dependable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to work in a team setting as well as independently

  • Capability to work swiftly while paying attention to detail
  • Availability to work mandatory holiday weekends (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day)
  • Ability to work independently with frequent checks from department supervisor and Facilities Manager
  • Physical ability to stand and/or walk continuously
  • Physical ability to climb, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel continuously
  • Physical ability to occasionally climb on a ladder
  • Physical ability to frequently crouch, push/pull, squat, and work above the shoulders
  • Physical ability to continuously carry up to 50 pounds on flat or uneven surfaces, including stairs up to 150 feet
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist and occasionally from waist to shoulder
  • Physical ability to push or pull various items up to 50 pounds
  • Physical ability to work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions
  • Physical ability to tolerate required personal protective equipment such as gloves, masks, safety glasses, etc.
  • All staff under 18 must have a worker’s permit provided by local school district
