Job summary

Staenberg-Loup Jewish Community Center of Denver is seeking a full-time Assistant Director of Camper Wellness to lead inclusive programming for campers from Kindergarten through 10th grade. The role supports Camp Shai and School’s Out!

programs in summer and school year, focusing on accessibility and character development. You will design and implement accommodations, develop care plans, supervise seasonal staff, and collaborate on curriculum and training to create a welcoming, engaging camp

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have at least 5 years of verifiable experience working with children.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Special Education, Social Work, or related field.
• Must hold a valid First Aid & CPR certification.
• Opportunities for certification will be provided prior to the start of each summer season.
• Must fulfill requirements for employment at Staenberg-Loup JCC, including background screening and references.

Responsibilities

• Develop care plans for campers and ensure information is shared between Camp Shai and Ranch Camp.
• Support direct supervision of campers and staff during School’s Out! programs.
• Coach and provide technical assistance to seasonal staff on inclusive practices.
• Collaborate with program leads to ensure accessibility and inclusion across activities.
• Assist in ACA and Licensing documentation and safety compliance.
