Job summary

Camp Barney Medintz is seeking a Communications & Marketing Manager to drive camper recruitment and family communications, and to own the CampMinder registration process.

The role is based in Atlanta during the non-summer months and relocates to Cleveland, GA for summer. It partners with the Camp Barney leadership and MJCCA Marketing to deliver an annual plan and a welcoming family experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2-4 years of experience in operations, registration, marketing, communications, or camp/nonprofit administration.
• Experience with camp registration software (CampMinder or similar) strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with careful attention to tone and detail.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace; experience with email marketing and CRM tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with Jewish culture, values, and traditions is a plus.
• Experience in a Jewish nonprofit or summer camp setting is a plus.
• A genuine passion for Camp Barney Medintz's mission and the ability to convey it through clear, engaging communication.

Responsibilities

• Recruit camper and staff marketing and messaging.
• Oversee registration using CampMinder and annual enrollment cycles.
• Maintain family communications and newsletters.
• Coordinate summer office operations and staff supervision.
• Ensure accurate data management for camper and family records.
• Support forms, deadlines, and compliance with camp standards.
