Job summary

The Outreach Team is a premier national field firm seeking an Organizing Project Director based in Iowa to lead a diverse team of organizers on democracy reform campaigns. You will manage staff, client relationships, budgets, and campaign systems to deliver impact on tight timelines.

You will develop field plans with clients, recruit and train volunteers, and ensure equity and inclusion across campaigns while traveling as needed through December 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a diverse team of organizers in a fast-paced, goals-based environment.
• Experience as a fundamental decision maker on large organizing projects with track records of hitting goals.
• Experience working within coalitions or with partner organizations.
• Proven ability to recruit, train, and develop volunteer leaders.
• Commitment to equity and justice and applying it to your work.
• Willingness to work long hours and travel frequently.
• Bilingual in Spanish-English is a plus.
• Experience with organizing tools like Action Network, VAN, and EveryAction.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the fundamental decision maker and bottom line for success on assigned organizing projects.
• Work as a strategic partner with clients in developing and executing field plans and organizing strategy.
• Keep close attention to project deliverables and proactively identify problems and propose proactive solutions.
• Develop, review, and adjust campaign metrics to drive trajectory and goals.
• Coordinate office and project launch/shutdown logistics, including space, relocation, and materials.
