Job summary

Pennsylvania Senate Democratic Campaign Committee (PA SDCC) in Harrisburg seeks a Volunteer Coordinator for the 2026 election cycle.

The role owns the volunteer pipeline end-to-end—from recruitment to retention—and works with the field team to ensure every shift is staffed and volunteers feel valued.

Reporting to the Organizing Director, you will build relationships with supporters, develop a lead pipeline, and maintain accurate data in NGP VAN/Votebuilder and Mobilize.

Qualifications

• Experience in volunteer coordination or campaign organizing preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple moving parts and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute the volunteer recruitment plan, including sign-up drives and outreach.
• Manage the full volunteer lifecycle: intake, onboarding, training, scheduling, follow-up, and re-engagement.
• Staff canvasses, phone banks, text banks, lit drops, and community events with trained volunteers.
• Run regular volunteer trainings and orientations, 1:1 and group settings.
• Develop and maintain a volunteer leader pipeline, elevating volunteers into lead roles.
• Maintain volunteer data in NGP VAN/Votebuilder and Mobilize with attendance and history.
• Build a culture of recognition through thank-yous, milestones, and events.
• Represent the campaign at events to recruit supporters.
• Provide weekly reporting on recruitment, retention, and shift fill rates.
