Job summary

Capital Camps & Retreat Center seeks a Community Care Manager to oversee social, emotional, and mental health support for campers and staff. The role requires residency on-site during the summer season in Waynesboro, PA, with base in North Bethesda, MD for the rest of the year, and offers meaningful impact within a Jewish community setting.

Position can be full-time or part-time, with supervision by the Camp Director.

Qualifications

• Licensed social work, psychology, counseling, or education background required or preferred.
• Experience with children/adolescents in camps, schools, or similar settings.
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Collaborative teamwork across disciplines to support wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Reside on-site during summer to provide social, emotional, and mental health support.
• Coordinate care with families, staff, and medical teams for camper well-being.
• Supervise Health Center staff and Atzma’im program supports.
• Lead pre-camp planning, training, and intake processes for campers and staff.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and intake materials.
