JCC Greater Boston is seeking Unit Heads to join the Leadership Team this summer. You will mentor counselors, support camper well-being, uphold camp traditions, and model leadership across a large unit of 100-120 campers and 25-30 counselors.

You’ll oversee age groups K-1 through 6-8, CITs, and specialty areas (Sports, STEM, Arts, Theater), with a focus on creating a joyful, inclusive, and safe camp experience for every child.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience coaching staff and mentors.
• Experience overseeing large camper groups and staff teams.
• Ability to model professionalism and camp spirit.
• Commitment to safety and inclusivity in a camp setting.

Responsabilités

• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities in your specialty area.
• Ensure camper safety and well-being during activities.
• Create an inclusive, supportive environment that promotes skill-building.
• Coordinate with counselors and leadership for a cohesive camper experience.
• Manage supplies and equipment for activities.
• Adapt activities for diverse campers and abilities.
• Support large camp events and operations (drop-off/pick-up, transitions, etc.).
• Supervise a team of approximately 20 counselors and seasonal staff.
