Job summary

Millersville University in Lancaster County is seeking a MU CAMP Student Worker to assist CAMP staff, support incoming CAMP students, and promote CAMP at events on and off campus with CAMP staff.

Pay rate is $9.50/hr, up to 20 hours/week, with flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed for events. Enrolled MU student and completion of three background clearances are required, along with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Enrolled Millersville University Student
• Available to work a maximum of 20 hours/week during the Summer, Fall and Spring semesters including evening and weekends when necessary
• Must have good communication skills and work well with others
• Organized, responsible, and dependable
• Enjoys working with a diverse population and sensitive to cultural differences
• Must complete 3 required clearances (PA Criminal Background, Child Abuse History, and FBI Fingerprints).

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with CAMP students and CAMP staff
• Assist CAMP staff with various office tasks
• Assist CAMP staff at events on and off campus
• Speak with large groups or one-on-one about the CAMP program and eligibility requirements for potential incoming CAMP students
• Supervise the CAMP office and students as needed
• Be able to set and maintain boundaries when working with CAMP students
• Attend CAMP and university meetings and events as scheduled
• Maintain and report work hours
