Job summary

UC Irvine’s Office of Inclusive Excellence is seeking a CAMP Program Director for a one-year contract. You will lead planning, management and evaluation of the CAMP program, supervise staff, and coordinate with faculty, industry partners, and other institutions to advance STEM education initiatives.

The role requires strong supervisory and relationship-building skills, experience with budgets, and the ability to develop partnerships across higher education and community organizations.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years experience in the postsecondary sector serving students in STEM.
• Bachelor's degree in related field and/or equivalent experience/training
• Master's degree in related field and/or equivalent experience/training
• Strong knowledge of postsecondary academic contexts serving STEM students
• Knowledge of higher education policies and issues and ability to assess program impact
• Demonstrated supervisory skills
• Knowledge of UC/CSU/CC admissions and financial aid requirements
• Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and represent the University professionally
• Experience with budget development, management and presentation

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and evaluate the CAMP UCI program.
• Supervise CAMP Program Professionals and student staff.
• Prepare year-round programs and budgets; coordinate CAMP activities with faculty, industry partners and other institutions.
• Evaluate CAMP efforts and recommend changes to leadership.
• Develop and maintain program visibility and collaborative relationships with schools and higher education partners.
